Just curious, will the system prevent you from curbing the wheels? Also, what if the curb is relatively high? Will the system prevent you from scraping the lower part of the bumper? Does the system rely on the sensors in the front and rear bumpers or are there side sensors as well?

In the state of New Jersey you have to parallel park successfully to pass the driving test. I did a number of years ago and my son had to parallel park also. I had to do it between two cones. To top it off I had to get up stand if you will rear end off of seat and back on head rest to see the darn cone in the rear. I drove a 1970 AMC Rebel for the test.

if you release the brake completly, or go over speed limit of the system, it shuts down... right? I read it somewhere and thats how Prius system works as well...

heh, exactly - there was no way for me to actually see the cones, i even adjusted the mirrors, they were nowhere to be found, lol. :-).

However in Seattle, that took out only few points out of my score and I was still above the line...

Yes, releasing the brake pedal completely also disables the system in addition to breaking the speed limit (2.5mph?), pressing the accelerator pedal, providing resistance to the steering wheel over a certain threshold, reversing uphill such that the car cannot reverse up without touching the accelerator and so forth.

It will NOT stop if you hit a car, hit a pedestrian, hit a curb, scratch the car in front etc etc.
