Oil Pressure Light Missing?? on the LS460

Exclamation Oil Pressure Light Missing?? on the LS460

After a careful check of my new LS460 SWB and its manual, I can not find the standard "idiot" light warning of a low oil pressure. Is there one?? Could it be just a "master warning light" with an associated warning message in the new multi information readout (same area where you can read out tire pressures). One of the Lexus web sites lists an oil pressure indicator as well as a low oil level indicator-but darn if I can find anything in my owners manual.

Also-I can not find a transmission dip stick-is it also missing per design like the german cars?

might be using a sealed transmission in which the fluid is sealed and shouldnt have to be changed, IS has something like that

Not listed in owners manual but Multi Information Display has at least 46 different messages which include Low Oil Pressure and Low Engine Oil Level.
Transmission uses WS Fluid (World Standard) which is lifetime fluid. There is a procedure for checking fluid level but is rather lengthy process and extremely temperature sensitive.

Could you let us know the source of this new information?? You are the first breath of fresh air saying what these messages are. If there is 46 of them-there must be a listing somewhere

Do I see that there is no reference to the coolant level? With all the plastic to remove to get to the coolant tank, I fear forgetting to check the level often enough.

How do I confirm the coolant level?

Yes, low oil level is one of teh 46 messages
