Default What's the best deal scored in So Cal recently?

I'm looking for a loaded LS460, SGM with Alabaster. I am also considering the executive package, but I was told nobody would have one on their floor.
Has anyone in So Cal got anything off sticker yet? I plan on buying 2 cars at once. I want the LS, and either a GS430 or GS450H. I am leaning toward the hybrid since the 430 is going to be replaced.
What kind of deal should I be looking for with the purchase of 2 cars?

executive package is special order only I believe, since the GS350 came out the GS430 doesnt look like a good buy IMO, GS460 comes out in spring but if you want an LS460 that would be kind of redundant

The LS I wanted is indeed the 460L.

We need to get our car count down to 4, so the SL55, SLK55, and M5 are going. The wife drives the M, and she doesn't even push the power button, so what's the point of having it.

I do have a good amount of money into my SL55 which includes all silver carbon fiber interior, Lowering module, and 20" HRE's. I may want to consider selling it private party, but I don't really want to deal with anyone.

the ls460l with exec package is special order only, i am not sure if any dealership would order that and just put it on the floor. considering how hot the car is, deal is almost not an option on the ls460 right now

i would pick the gs450h without a doubt. gs430 is old (drive train), and it's slower, the gs450h handles better with the VSSS, much faster and smoother, also quieter too imho. unless you want to wait for the gs460 which i think would be even faster

When you are dropping money like you do on cars then what difference does it make???

But to answer the question, you should be able to get a deal on the GS430 if you buy it in conjunction with the LS460

Just because I can afford it, doesn't mean I like to give the money away.
I rather take the savings, and put it in an account for my kids.
I just want to walk in with some insight. I appreciate any and all help. Thanks!

Rocman - Since you're looking for the most aggressive deal, why not simply go to Longo? Their fiscal year ends on November 30, and they are always ready to deal on that date. And based on the recent review of the GS450H, I'd stay far, far away from it. Judging from your current taste in cars, I think you'll kick yourself if you don't wait for the GS460!

Which review is that??

I highly doubt that there would be great deals offered on the new LS yet. It came out 2-3 weeks ago with a lot already pre-sold. Might have to wait a bit to get a nice deal on one. Theres already a member here with the executive package, however not sure if it was special ordered or not. Might want to get in contact with him about that.

I also would pick the GS450h over the GS430. Older and weaker engine that will be replaced soon. However you could probably find a deal on the GS430 compared to the GS450h considering that the 450h is a limited production model. If you do consider the GS430 superior, you might as well take a look at the GS350 which still is more powerful (hp wise) and offers basically the same features.

Good luck.

Gferg - I'm not sure whether it was R&T, MT, C&D, or Autoweek, but it was within the last 30 days - a comparo between sport sedans and the GS450H placed dead last......

Wow, that's a fine pair to have in the family! Must be interesting to see the contrast between the SWB and LWB...different colors too I guess?

Rocman - I don't care how much in demand the LS is, if you go in to buy an LS and a GS - you should definitely expect some decent discount on the package. One possibility is say you'll take the LS at list if you get the GS at invoice. Still saves a few thousand.

YOU have some control, unless you HAVE to have those vehicles no matter what it costs.

Oh and what a killer collection of vehicles you have - congrats! Did you start google or something?
