Question for Canadian LS460 owners
Did your car come with a clear plastic film on the edge of the hood and the fenders?
My dealer said that all Canadian market cars came with this and was applied to the car in Vancouver.
The reason was to prevent stone chips.

The plastic film is there on the Black Sapphire LS460 I saw last Saturday in the showroom of my local Lexus dealer.
I have seen a few other new LS460's before that, but can't say I noticed that on all of them . . .
The plastic bra on the Black Sapphire I saw was done rather poorly IMO, it was very noticeable . . .

I agree, it is very noticeable. I wasn't very impressed with it as it looks like a poor after-market job.
I wonder if the US cars in the snow belt has it as well.
Did you know that there are heating elements around the perimeter of the windshield (except the top) to melt snow? This is switchable from the climate screen.
