Exclamation LS 600L h pricing.....

Here is the competiton
Base S600 costs $140,000!
Base 760 starts at $121,000!
Base A8 W-12 at $119,350

How we know loaded LS 460L is right at $96,000. So clearly the 600 will cost over $100,000 base. Now just how much lower is the question. Of course it is NOT a V-12, but a V-8 with hybrid power. Like the Audi it will be AWD.

Unrelated, I wonder what weight will be? With AWD and heavy batteries, this maybe a 5000 lbs car!

My guess is the car will start at like $109,000...

basing on the current base price of the the LS460L. It is just a hair below the A8 V8 so my guess is that the 600h will be the same... a hair below the A8 W12.

my guess is $118,715 for base and $145,000 fully loaded.

another overpriced toyota camry.

Aside from joking (half serious), I am quite certain that it will be under 100K for sure.

I don't think it will start that high at all. A loaded 5 seater LS460L is about $86K correct? The LS600hL does come with the same configuration standard, the 4-seater Executive/RSES Package is optional, so you just figure how much they will charge over $86K for the LS600hL.

There's the hybrid premium, AWD premium, bigger 5.0 litre V8, CVT instead of the 8 speed, 19" wheels, interior may be a little more posh with the leather stitched dash etc., & it "may" have the **** as standard or an option, & a few other minor items, so I figure it will have a base price of well under $110K definitely, maybe a little over $100K. If you add the Executive Package, then it will go over $110K.

I don't expect there to be many if any real base units delivered except on special order and they will be delivered like the GS 450h, very complete with minimal options. That's why I am expecting the real ones to be delivered to dealers to be pushing $120K. I think they have a 450h base of $54K or so but most were actually $60-66K as delivered.

I won't want the Executive seat configuration so hope that is not a standard item for delivery but will want the **** so will look for that and hope its not coupled for some reason ($$$) with the Executive seat to make the choice difficult

Very good point, they are very special order. So in stock ones will probably be loaded.
Considering it does have more standard features, it might actually start under $100,000, really shocking the V-12 establishment.

Though I am sure at these prices, value is pretty much not what these cars are about but oh sweet excess!

I was at the dealer this morning for service and they volunteered without me asking that they expect it to be delivered to them at an msrp of $120-125K. Probably a very well loaded version.

Wise answer. However, if LS600 does not do weight watching, the extra power will be nullified.

LS should think about introducing a V12 with 600+ hp to compete with S65 AMG, 760Li, A8 W12, bentley spur etc. This would probably help sell LS flagships to business leaders, heads of states, corrupt politicians, dictators etc.

Its often a complain that Lexus is not driven by world leaders. Maybe an occasional one or two in asia but thats about it.

The downside of introducing a V12 is a diluted green/ecofriendly image. Only future will tell which way the wind traverses.
