If you think your too young for a car.. then your too young for a car. If this cars fits your needs and wants, who care what others say. They're probably just jealous that they can't afford it.

I just turned 22 and I look forward to buying it very soon. Cool cars like these have no age restriction.

I bought my LS460 a week before my 30th birthday (I hate to admit that I am now 30). Believe me, if other people my age or younger could buy these cars, they would. Everyone wants the best cars on the market but economics usually precludes them. When I moved into my neighborhood it was the same thing. Don't worry about age and enjoy having earned things much quicker than others!

Krista's Porsche 996 (2003) and BMW E30 track car may both be sold for a newer track car (either M3 or 993 turbo).

Sorry, taking Luxofreak's thread off topic

Well thanks guys. I really appreciate having the opportunity to buy such a nice car because I did come from absolutely nothing, so I know how hard it is to make a buck. I do have my own successful small business today that I've been busting my rear for five years now, seven days a week (seriously) closing just for Christmas and national holidays. It's all worth it.

It just feels better when it's that way. Money is very nice, but it's not what defines/shapes my personality.

nowadays, age is nothing but a number with cars.. time has changed and every car is meant for every person at every age.. as long as you like it is all that matters

Well, I'm 21 and the LS600hL is one of my dream cars. I sat in a 460 the other day ago, it's probably the purest form of an automotive orgasm...

That's the part I don't understand, because lots of people WON'T buy these cars even when they are spending enough money to do so. For example, WHYYYYY would anyone buy a new Chrysler 300 V6 instead of buying a nice '02-'03 LS430. Anyone with a pulse could drive each car for 3 miles and see that the LS is miles and miles and miles and miles and miles ahead of the 300. Even if you're talking new vs. used, one can expect the LS to have only a fraction of the problems that the 300 would have over any time or distance that you want to consider.

It's the style. The old LS is too boxy and the 300 owners think they can fool people by telling them they are driving a bentley.

LOL Too boxy for the owner of a car that looks like the box that an LS came in???

I'm not talking about the group of people who think they are impressing someone because they have a Bentley-looking Dodge (can't use logic for that group), but other owners who are buying the car because they think it's a good value, rides good, etc.

Some people only want to have the latest and greatest and want their cars under warranty (even though we know the lexus doesn't need it). Also, I think the 430 wasn't quite as hot as the 460 in terms of styling. The 430 was great in my opinion but many thought it was sleepy where as the 300 had more "ganster" appeal.

I'm with you though, I would rather own a used lex, bmw or benz than a brand new ford or GM product. I feel very fortunate that I don't have to worry about that problem though!!!

Hello, great topic. This is a bit of a hang-up for me also as I'm turning 35 in three weeks. I owned a '98 GS400 which I perceived to be a "younger" model, but the flagship has always had the silvertop/country club aura. I'm going grey rapidly so what the heck.

Our first kid is on the way in June so it'll be time to get rid of the 996TT. I will likely wait about a year from now, for the 600 (which will be that much better with AWD).
