Inventory Levels
What do current inventory levels look like for the LS460's at dealerships? Are they still selling to all of the people on waiting lists, or are they starting to have some inventory available for general sale?
It would be helpful to be able to gauge when it might be practical to get one of these for less than full MSRP. I'm sure the dealers will need to have some inventory stacking up before they will consider discounts.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

From what I've heard, demand still remains very high, so no discounts, and virtually no LS models available to just sit on the lot. All the LS460s and LS460Ls have been either pre-sold, or there is someone on a waiting list that has priority. You might get lucky with a dealer though. I'm interested to see how the inventory level is like at Glendale Lexus or at Longo Lexus.

LS on lot
The Dealer in Dallas "said" he had 135 people on his waiting list. but said he thought he could supply me with a car if I would give him the colors I wanted.
He said if some one on the list changed there mine on colors they had requested, then they would go to the bottom of the list and they could sell that car to some one on the street. You would think they would offer it to the next guy on the list that wanted those colors. Actually he wanted to make a deal before Jan 1.
Apparently there are some around, but not many.

in cali i think they are still in very high demand in general. you can see one or two floating around where the buyer backed out so basically it's first come first serve (if there is no match on the waiting list), but from what i have heard, hasn't seen one that stays in the lot for long

A very good friend of mine just special ordered a white SWB from the dealer in Scranton, PA. They gave her a $1000 discount. I could not believe it, but it is positively true. Lexus of Lehigh Valley in Allentown would not budge on the sticker.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. It sounds like inventory is loosening up a little bit, but not to the point where anyone is getting much of a discount. I guess I will keep waiting. Maybe if I wait until the 2008 models come out they will work through some of the little bugs that people have been discussing here.
