F or C - How to set?
My LS-460 has the temp in Farenheit which is fine, but sometimes I want it in Celsius for when I have overseas friends riding with me. How to change? I figured how to scwitch the NAV to metric but that doesn't change the temperature to Celsius.

I checked in the owner's manual and there is no mention of changing from C to F and vice versa. If the speedo is in miles, the default is F and for me in Canada the default is in Celsius. The dealer may be able to change it but there should be a way for the driver to change it too as I know that many drive their vehicles across the US/Canada border.

F to C
Tried selecting French as language, changes language as well as measurement into kilometers but not temperature into celsius. Lola has a great French accent tho'.

The first few times I used the Navi, there were some preferences that were available to tailor the car to suit one's individual tastes. One was Imperial vs Metric, and another I recall was the ability to suppress the alarm or beep that trips to remind the two forward occupants to fasten their seat belts. I kick myself for not changing this as I have not been able to see it since. I suspect you have a very limited time frame to play with these. Strangely, there is also no mention of this feature in the Owner's Manual.
On the other hand, I was given two dealer personalization settings sheets with an extensive array of choices along the same lines, such as lock settings, etc, etc... My dealer told me they would tailor these to suit my preferences. Perhaps this will give me the opportunity to re-visit the darn seat belt alarm and shut it up once and for all. If you like, I could upload these as images.

i asked my sales person when i bought my IS300 in 2003. She said that its programmable by lexus, but its really reserved for their overseas cars in other countries, and the canadians i guess. its a software issue.

Just perform this simple calc as you're driving -
Tc = (5/9)*(Tf-32) where Tc = temperature in degrees Celsius, Tf = temperature in degrees Fahrenheit
Tc = (5/9)*(Tf-32) where Tc = temperature in degrees Celsius, Tf = temperature in degrees Fahrenheit

That's a good one.

haha yeah... I have to tell you, it's hard to believe that the gadgets-galore LS-460 doesn't have a single button or function to change from F to C. That's lame.
