What makes one car better then another?
There is endless discussion about which car is best, but I haven’t seen any poll showing exactly what aspects make one car better than another.
Here are the items I’ve come up with:
1. Exterior looks – general styling
2. Exterior looks – “Muscular/athletic looking”
3. Interior looks/sumptuousness
4. High speed handling
5. Normal speed handling/Comfort
6. Interior functionality and ease of use
7. Touch screen vs iDrive/control ****
8. Reliability
9. Quietness
10. Raw 0-60 speed
11. Brakes
12. Availability of Radar cruise control.
13. Availability of AWD.
14. Cost of ownership/mileage.
15. Prestige of ownership.
16. Gadgets (Self parking, auto door closing, etc)
17. Sound system.
What’s missing from this poll is a weighting number (0-100) of how important each item is. For example, in my case, if a car doesn’t offer Laser cruise control, I won’t consider it, thus I’d weight it at 100.
My order of importance is 12, 5, 6, 7, 10, 8, 3, 9, 1, 16, 13, 11, 17, 4, 2, 14, 15

"Better" is a relative term, and it's linked to what we know as our reality so it's just an opinion. For someone in the middle of nowhere in Africa a square wheeled cart is much "better" than my LS-460 because it's their reality. I think those kind of polls are useless. The question should be "What do you rate as more important".

This was not about which is "Better" at all.
This poll was what features one rates as more important.
I'm also interested in what others consider important for them. Why? I don't know, I just am.
Of course, my ratings of what's important to me would certainly change if I move to nowhere in Africa, but I live here in the USA. Does Lexus have a square wheeled cart model?
This poll is somewhat different than the others, as it doesn't ask which feature is "Better" from model to model, but what features are important. I would think this would be of interest to manufacturers, if nobody else.
