Engine purrs like a kitten and roars like a lion
I have had my 460 LWB for almost a month now and have 1400 miles on it. First of all I wanted to say that this car is incredible!!!
The engine is quiet when you want it to be and roars when you step on it!!!
My passengers have ALL mentioned how incredibly quiet the car is and then they can't believe how COOL it sounds when you step on it... not to mention how fast it takes off when you do.
Just wanted to post this observation.

nice little note there. i feel so too, and i think it's great that when you drive normally, you want the car to be quiet and it is. but when you want it to go it will tell you it's working
although i think at wot it's still a bit weak in sound, but for this car it's good

I just completed the 800 mile mark on mine. I agree with the quietness statement but hey, what you hear when you floor it is far from being a roar. Floor a 2007 corvette Z-06 with some nice borla or magnaflow exhaust and you'll hear what a roar is.

Proportionally, if the LS460 had the 7.0 liters of the Z06, it would have around 578 HP and 558 ft-lbs of torque. Then, it would probably have some roar
