I'm not sure if this is of much interest to people, but the Japanese drama "Hana Yori Dango 2," which is airing right now, seems to have a lot of Lexus product placement lol

The story takes place at an uber rich high school in Tokyo, so all the kids get driven to school in ridiculously nice cars, and (of course) the richest of them all rides around in a brand new LS460

That last one shows a magazine that was featured in an episode, which of course had an ad for the LS on the back haha

It's actually a pretty smart move to place a Lexus product in the show, though. The drama always talks about high end brands, and it's a great way to introduce Lexus to a younger generation since the show is aimed at a young (10-30) demographic....

lol, this is very interesting, nice stuff! i guess i have to go out and look for this drama just to satisfy myself it's definitely good thing that lexus is pushing their brand name in every direction!

That is one thing I L-O-V-E about watching Japanese TV dramas & movies, identifying each & every car I see in it! (Until my parents got a little worried about me.)

If any of you watch this J-dorama by the name of Shotgun Marriage, you'll see a 2nd gen. Toyota Aristo A.K.A. Lexus GS parked beside a pink Toyota Vitz in one of the episodes.

Yes, I know that I have waaaaaaaaaaaaay too much time in my hands.

Sweet!!! There has been a bit of Lexus product placement in the UK, and some in the US as well. Good TV concept to put a Lexus in, it seems.

I saw an LS 430 used as the "Exec/CEO car" in an episode of the new Doctor Who...

Just saw 24 Monday and Jack's father drove away in a LS. I could not tell if it was a 430 or 460.

Anyone else see it?

You actually find that Ings is involved in a lot of promotion via tv shows in Japan. I haven't seen an LS yet with their products but their RX, GS, and IS have all had cameos.
