Default Updating the HDD while in motion

Does anyone know how to hack into the nav. system to allow adding music to the HDD while the vehicle is in motion?

What do you mean? I thought it automatically rips to the HDD when you play a CD.

Just put the CD in the player and it will ask if you want to rec some or all the tracks. You can drive while doing this.

It is how I did most of my recording. It records an entire cd in around 7 to 10 minutes.

Question Do you have to have ML to rip?

Do you have to have ML for this to work? Or will the standard audio system allow it to the HDD?

I've found that I can only initiate the recording process while the vehicle is at a complete stop. Once the recording is started, it will continue while the vehicle is in motion. However I can't start a recording while in motion.

If you enable the Automatic Recording option it will automatically record any CD that is currently playing provided it has not been previously recorded to the library. You do not have to do anything to start the recording and obviously you can put in new CD's while you are driving.

The information is very helpful and I appreciate it. However, I don't want to record an entire CD, only selected tracks.

In that case, all you can do is record the whole cd automatically then delete the tracks you don't want later.
