What?! In Boston we do that between traffic lights!

You might want to go to tirerack.com and read some of the user reviews there.

Mallory,

Did you check to make sure your tire pressure is at 33psi cold?

Also, how many miles do you have on your tires?

I keep looking and listening for something wrong with these Bridgestone EL42s, but can't seem to. Why would Lexus risk tarnishing its reputation by mounting inferior tires on this car? I can see where some performance improvements could be gained by going to Z-rated tires but, in my case anyway, I looked for an all-around tire and agree with Lexus' selection. I've had the car up to 100mph with the Power setting on (at night, all alone), and while it can become boat-like on certain undulating stretches, I doubt I will venture too often in that territory. When I reach 5,000mi, I'll take it to a track and see how it does at 140mph. So, in the final analysis, I am very satisfied.

My car came with Dunlop tires. I would rather have Michelin's, but will wait for these to wear out. No problems with the Dunlop tires...

And yet, when you look at the reviews for this tire at Tire Rack, they are mostly very favourable. Because the selection of tires is so broad, and the drivers using them are so diverse, opinions can become highly subjective, and debates are probably best settled over a beer.

EL42 is very bad in the rain.. but their dry traction is ok..
they are pretty noisy though.. had them on the previous cars too..
don't worry.. after 35k~40k miles.. the sound will become unbareable and u'll be replacing them :0

My car came with the Dunlops and I have had no problems with them. I too like Michelins but this is my first car with Dunlops and I now like them too.

most OEM tires are usually some junky low cost to the manafacturer tire, once they wear out I never even think about buying them again. At least they werent Bridgestone RE92, probably the worst tire you can get, check out tirerack for hilarious reviews
