About tail lights
The LS-460 has nice tail lights in my opinion. The only problem is that they used regular bulbs for the blinkers. Same happened with the acura TL, very nice LED parking/stop lights but an ugly bulb driven corner blinker.
Anyone here knows how much a new LS-460 tail light costs? I would consider fabricating a conversion kit to fit those blinkers with the same kind of amber LEDs BMW uses on some models. They are 10x brighter and the instant on/off effect is real nice.

Someone on this forum tried this after switching every one of the other bulbs to LED's (except headlights). What he found is that the LED's in the tail lights caused them to blink excessively fast.
On a similar topic, I was planning on changing the parking lights to LED also to get a more uniform look across the front of the car (xenon/yellow light combination is not attractive) but it is almost impossible to access these compartments.
Please let me know if you end up doing this because I would LOVE to do it also.

The fast blinking issue is really easy to solve. All needed is a fully electronic flasher or a load (resistor) in line with the LEDs for the blinker application.
What I want to do is to pack as many luxeon LEDs I can inside that space for the blinkers. I want to use a pulse with modulator (pwm) to have 100% control over brightnes, etc... in a nutshel it has to be very professional.
I'll do some research for the front of the car as well, I agree that Xenon with yellowish parking lights look bad.

LED turn signals would really look nice.
As for xenon matching bulbs, I found that you need to go through the front wheel wells to access the fog lights. I looked very closely for the parking light bulbs but it is such a tight compartment that even the manual says take it to the dealership which is disappointing.
Below is the thread where I originally brought this up:

Here is the list of bulbs that was referenced in this thread:
Door Lights on middle top interior T10X2
Front mirror lights T10X2
Front Turning Signal inside front headlights 7440 or 7443X2 "(do not use LED's)"
Front Parking Lights inside front headlights T10X2
Rear Trunk Lights T10X2
Doors (under the 4 doors) T10X4
Mirrors (under the left and right mirrors) T10X2
Rear dome light *31mmX8mm* X1 I used a 9LED model
Front Fog lights HB4 or 9006 X2 (I used a 6000K Osram model)
Sidemarker T10X2 (I had to use headgun to take it apart)
Front under dash lightx2(these are stock LED's, just take off the yellow cover)
Reverse LightsX2 (18W 12V these are smaller version of the 7440 or 7443)
Rear Mirror lights *31mmX6mm* X6 (These I haven't found yet)
License plate lights (haven't gotten to those yet)
Rear turning signals (no need to change... it will light up yellow anyways)
