LS460 - Uncomfortable driver seat?
I got LS460 a couple of months ago.
I am constantly finding driver seat to be quite uncomfortable (hard) in right rear area. It appears that right rear side is harder than left and it applies a lot of pressure on a ball joint. Changing seat position does not solve the problem. Passenger seat appears ok.
Dealership was not helpful with this issue.
Did anyone else noticed anything like this?
I did not feel this during a test drive.

I am guessing that you are rather tall and have the seat cushion extended forward quite far. Doing this exposes the wiring harness under the back portion of the cushion which can make it quite uncomfortable. There is a TSIB that adds padding and fixes the issue completely, so ask your dealer to check for it and if they tell you no then ask to speak to their field technical specialist about it.

Although I am quite tall, I notice the problem regardless of the seat position, as MPL suggests. I hope he is correct, and there is a TSB on this. MPL, do you have a number on that TSB?
thanks

thanks all for your replies.
I actually did a bit more research and it appears that there is some kind of cable sticking from beneath the leather at the back of the seat. I usually don't extend it that far to notice before. AND seat is stiff on the rear end. it appears that padding is very thin and there is something hard and flat just beneath it. Probably the AC unit mentioned in previous post. Dealership offered to take the seat apart to see what is wrong with it.

yes do the padding, we have done several and had no complaints. im not sure of the tsib number either. We used 3-4 inch thick foam cushioning kind of like an egg crate people use for bedding.

When you say "we've done many", are you saying you're a lexus dealer? I'm speaking with my service engineer now, as I have the same complaint - he's indicated he read this thread and looked through every 460 tsib twice and cannot find any reference to this fix . Any help here would be appreciated
Thanks

Thanks for this - just curious though - earlier you indicated you had performed several of this seat padding repairs - this was done without a TSB, but covered by Lexus? If so, is it plausible to assume the "unofficial fix" you did earlier is becoming the official TSB?
Thanks
