Default LS460 Brake Actuator Noise

Is anyone experiencing a clicking or faint popping noise when depressing the brake pedal on the LS460. It occurs when the car is idle or whenever one brakes for a stop. When decelerating you will here it as a series of faint pops or clicks. It is not in the wheels, but comes from inside the engine compartment. Lexus has looked at it and tells me that others have it too and that it is has something to do with the solenoid and the electronic braking system. Just wondering if any other people have noticed it.

Has anyone heard of an update on this.
The Actuator noise on mine has become quite loud.
It used to be if I had the radio on I could not even hear it.

I have heard this on my 2007, as you gradually apply pedal pressure you hear a series of clicks. I assumed it was normal.

Mine is more like a loud crack noise after the car has stopped and pressure is still on the brake pedal.

Have been having this noise for about three weeks.

Now I'm noticing it every two or three days.

I just bought an '07 with the noise. It was a Lexus/Toyota corporate car and the dealer and I had some question about the car so he took it to Lexus. He mentioned the noise while he was there, the dealer told him that there were two manufacturers of the valve. One makes the noise and one doesn't. They ordered a new valve, installed it, and now the noise is gone.

I also have the pop sound on mine and was told by the master tech at my dealer that it is normal. Mine happens when I jam on the brakes hence causing the actuater to kick in.

Default my actuator problem is fixed

You should go back to your dealer and ask for replacing a new actuator on your LS. My 07 LS 460 L had the same knocking noise problem as you guys have, but I had the problem fixed after Lexus technician ordered and dealer installed a new actuator on my LS in last Jan. There is no more knocking noise coming out from the brake. That was the second actuator Lexus had installed in my car. My first fix was in Dec 2007 and had little improvement on the issue.

I had the same problem on my 2008 LS460. Initially it happened once in a while when I started the car and put it into reverse (with my foot on the brake). Later on I heard the noise when I braked to slow down the car. It got to the point where I heard the noise each time I started the car and put it into reverse. I took it in about 6 weeks ago and they replaced the brake actuator.

I had the same issue and they replaced the actuator as well. Recently I heard the faint noise again. Honestly did not know it was an issue until I was in with the tech on a test drive to hear suspension noises.
