Actually, I don't recall seeing a REAL picture of an LS interior with passenger side memory buttons anywhere, the pics of the RHD Japanese LS460's I have seen don't have those buttons on the left side passenger doors neither . . .

Doesn't look like it is from the pic in the post above even for the 600h in Japan (at least not standard ? )

no it does have it. that lexus logo should be in blue but the bright lights of the room cover it out.

im surprised you guys are saying that the LS doesnt have the illuminated lights...my RX has them in orange as standard.

None of the LS460's I've seen in person have them, & they look similar to above, not sure about the lights covering them ...

My SC430 have the illuminated sills with orange letters too .

where did you see a LS with it? i haven't. maybe it's accessories. illuminated sills are standard on the rx and sc430 i believe. on the IS it's optional. it's not available on the gs and to my knowledge not on the LS (at least so far)

andrew, i remember seeing a pic of the LS from europe and it has passenger memory seat buttons? but keep in mind i am old

If you are talking about the same one I've seen too, that's from a European website "picture/illustration" of the dash/front seat area, I am not sure that's a real life photo that's untampered with . . . that's why I am not really certain of the passenger side memory seat buttons . . .

Maybe I'm wrong, but aren't the buttons on the passenger side door, directly below the glass the memory buttons for the seats?

Yeah, but that car is right hand drive in the picture. Look at the left side door and it doesn't have the controls on it...

I believe the reason for no memory on the passenger side seat is because the passenger seat is reserved for the boss (a Japanese thing) can’t see the boss riding in a IS or GS. Read “The Lexus Story” book.

They are selling this car in N.America though, which is their biggest market, so I still don't see that's the reason why they are leaving them out for THIS MARKET.

Interesting theory, however which leads to this question, "Why would the Boss go without, presuming of course that bosses like to be in control?". Just wondering...
