Default New for 2008?

I just heard from my dealer about my order for an LS460L. It is about to go in as a 2008 order, with delivery expected late September or early October.

Question: Has anyone heard of any addtional options/features being added for 2008?

I was hoping they would at least have the illuminated door sills for 2008

I just stopped by the dealership. A couple of items are in question:

1 - It is possible that the 19" wheels are standard, as there does not seem to be an option for them.
2 - The touring package may now be compatible with many of the other options. Previously it was mutually exclusive with several of the options.
3 - pricing is not yet determined.

My sales guy is checking on this and expects to know the answers by mid-next week. I'll keep you posted.

^^All sounds good except for the pricing (it's normal to have an increase of a few hundred dollars a year though)

As for the 19" wheels, that's my favorite among the stock wheels, but I suppose if you order the Executive Package, it will still come with the 18" ? - since they are doing the same for the 2008 LS600hL Executive Package - supposedly for a softer, more luxurious ride for the "executive".

I sat in an IS350 yesterday, and that was my precise sentiment...

Wonder why they passed on that one...

That brings up an interesting question. Are the LS600hL's now being built 2007s or 2008s?

No question a launch for sale in July or August will be called a 2008 model. Sometimes, they will still call it the next year's model even if they are available for sale as early as February.

They have been talking about the front passenger memory seats for the LS since 2000, & after all these years, they still didn't add that even for the new design for some reason, when all other Lexus models have them. Maybe for the Executive Package, they let the reclining executive seat at the back have the control, but there's no apparent reason for the other configurations . . .

Without even offering or showing any interest in a 2008 LS460 my dealer offered 4000 off of MSRP. Makes sense since they have 4-5 each (SWB and LWB) of the 2007 sitting on the lot.

PS. and I was not even really in the market
