So... After the 2 weeks the Matrix Coating was applied it was time for the Venture Shield clear bra. There's only ONE angle that you can actually see it, otherwise it's absolutely invisible.
It protects the whole front, it goes underneath (not around) the front license plate, and it goes around the sensors. It also covers the headlights and fog lights and both exterior rear view mirrors.
I went ahead and had them install the top rear bumper area too, where stuff that gets dragged out of the trunk can eventually scratch.
Another area that it was installed is at the door edges and at the bottom door jambs where people hit their shoes when getting in and out of the car.
With tax it was just a little over $1k - cheap when considering repair costs of an unprotected car.

As many, if not most in here already know, the clear bra is standard on the LS in Canada. I'm on the horns of a dilemma about doing the bumpers, but am afraid that if some goofball uses them as parking spot feelers, they could end up with a "blistered" look as the film is torn or peels off. Just one bumper costs $500+, less the 20% Lexus customer discount. The 3M book shows the areas that this material can be applied, and it almost looks like the whole car can be done. To repaint a bumper at a Lexus approved shop in Vancouver, the cost is about $350, including the Lexus clearcoat & finish. So here I stand, questioning the intrinsic value. I may spring for it eventually, but not without a great deal of trepidation.

That's interesting.
Just a note, I didn't use the 3M film. I used the Venture Shield. The difference is that it's thinner, it won't get yellow over time and it doesn't have any UV protection. This is to avoid having areas with different colors over the years. The 3M film isn't bad, but it's one step behind Venture Shield when it comes to the technology / approach to auto applications.

Luxofreak, I have clear bra too on my car around the front area, mirrors, and front bumper. I've been thinking of adding the rear bumper too. Would appreciate seeing a picture of how the bra looks on your rear bumper. Thanks.
