Well I picked up the car this afternoon. Everything went perfectly. My wife drove me over to the dealer. I did have to go over to the body shop. Nothing wrong with the car, my wife just wanted them to use the frame straightener to pull the $h*t eating grin off my face. ![Big Grin](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
I only drove it about 60 miles, but I am thrilled to report that there is zero wind noise. I took it on the interstate and drove my usual 70-75 and it was fine. I went up to 85 briefly and no wind noise. I have the Bridgestone Turanza EL42's and they seem fine, but there was so much other stuff I was concentrating on.
I am pleased with the radar cruise control. I agree with some comments here about the slow acceleration when going back to the set speed, but its acceptable. I didn't find that it trailed the car in front by too great a distance.
As I posted on another thread, Verizon phones can't have their phonebook transfered to the car. Fortunately I don't have that many to enter anyway.
I am just thrilled with the purchase! I did not notice any defects nor any rattles. I'm still reading and re-reading the manual and going through the tutorial CD. I may never learn all the functions of this vehicle.

Well we, my mom really
, got the LS460L today. It was suppose to be yesterday, but we had the car driven to the house and finished up the paperwork there. My mom loves the car, it really is an amazingly quiet car & rides very well too. The car came with Dunlop tires on it. Congrats Nospinzone, enjoy the car!

One thing I was curious about. Did the dealer forget to take these off (circled in red) when they were preparing the car? They are on each side under the front bumper? They slide off easily and look like they are there to protect the lower bumper before the wheel. Thanks

And be careful of that engine, on our LS there were one or two instances where shutting off the engine was forgotten due to the lack of noise.

Thanks for all the congrats, guys! And congrats to your Mom, GS430guy!
Well day two was even better than day one. I'm learning more about all the operations. I got some entries into the phonebook and added voice tags so I could make a call by speaking the name. I loaded some CD's (including homemade ones), or parts of them, onto the HDD.
I did one quick hard acceleration getting onto the highway ........ exhilerating!
I did several self-parks. It worked pretty well except for one where I guess I set the green box too far from the curb, thus so was the car. One problem I noted was that if you were backing up a slight grade, the system did not work. The engine revs are not enough to move the car, and if you touch the accelerator, the function automatically shuts down. Frankly, it just takes too much time to be useful here in the Boston area (a car will already shoot into the space while you're still looking at the screen).
GS430guy, I looked under my front bumper. There are two small strips there, but they are bolted on and clearly are permanent. I'm not sure from your pic if they are the same thing you are looking at.

The first time I asked Tustin Lexus, they said no problem to custom order although it would take 6 mos. Just need a non-refundable deposit.
The next time I went back, they said no way and acted like I made the whole thing up.
My impression: the sales person was told not to offer this. They make a lot of money by bundling and swore that Japan wont make them except in three configurations. This is probably false but what do you expect from a car dealership?
