No Lexus in Italy?????
Just got back from 2 weeks in Italy. We toured from Sorento up to Lake Como and then into Switzerland.
I saw BMW's Mercedes and Audi's, but NO Lexus. Actually I saw 1 IS250 and 1 RX330. Not one ES, GS or LS.
What's the deal?

They are there. I had someone in our forum with an RX from Italy and he told me in PM just a harder head to head battle with the Europeans and Lexus is much more popular in northern Europe, thought it does get a lot of namesake over in Spain.

I was near you recently (left on the 11th though so probably before you got there). I was in Baveno on Lago (Lake) Maggiore. I didn't see a single Lexus the whole time, not even at Milan airport. From there I went to England for a few days. I definitely saw some Lexus there, including an LS460L.

I currently live in Italy, just south of Rome. The thing with Lexus or even Toyota in Italy is beside the cost of the car, they tack on a 28% importation tax along with a 25% sales tax. So many Italians stick with cars that are produced in the EU. I have a friend here that paid close to $28k for a RAV-4, that is why you don't see many Lexus' in Italy.
