Centerpost scuffing

I had the same problem in my GS, replaced it twice. The second time I took the replacement cover to a local automotive clearbra place and had them wrap it in clearbra material - no more problems.
It's noticibly different (a little shiny) if you compare to the other side, but not so much that I mind it. Better than all the scuffs and little cuts.

I was thinking about your problem over the last few days, and think perhaps you should check with a leather upholstery shop to see if they could wrap the pillar cover on both sides with leather. A nice thin piece of Cabretta leather (glove grade) matched closely in color to your interior would solve the scuffing problem, be quite easy to install, and also bring in a nice tanned leather fragrance in your car.

Mine just stared doing it today however it looks like the leather is actually peeling. It's going to the dealer Thursday. They are going to attempt the wind noise repair supervised the the field rep at that time. I'll let you know how i make out if they replace it under warrt.

The dealer just replaced it, it is the "B" pillar trim. They told me Lex is redesigning that part and they are aware of the problem. I do not have the redesigned part yet, should be out soon.
Have not picked my car up yet but they told me the new TSIB for the wind noise was done and the shop foreman said it was better but I would have to let him know. They installed some felt in the door glass molding, real high tech.....It'll post on the wind noise thread Mon. They gave me a an RX something? for a loner and man, what a real piece of sh....t. Makes me appreciate my 460. No offense to the RX owners I'm sure I got some low end beater version.

Hopefully it was a low-end version as the RX's I've been are really nice. My experience is that the loaner cars are rougher due to the harsh treatment of multiple drivers, etc.
This confirms what Mallory talked about, a redesigned part as well.

Maybe I'm not getting exactly what part you're talking about, but I don't know how this is possible. Everytime I get in/out of my car I don't scrape anything. I'm 5'10" and 180lb. Maybe a picture of affected area would clarify?

There are three pillars (posts) on each side of your car. The front one is the 'A' pillar, the middle one which is referred to here is the 'B' pillar, and I'll let you guess the name of the rear one.

Me neither, however it probably can be a problem depending on one's seating position, and/or individual size. I imagine taller or heavy set men scuff the pillar when egressing the car.
