You can use BT speed dial (on the Nav screen) too when in motion. Set up a speed dial number for the ones you call most frequently. I find that more convenient than using the voice commands for dialing when in motion.

Correct, bluetooth functionality is available in motion; you can receive and answer calls both on the steering wheel or NAVI screen. You can also speed dial calls from your NAVI screen via the phonebook, of which there are 5 sets of numbers per page, and several phonebook pages. What you don't have access to, is the keypad; to dial a random or new number you need to use voice commands. But with the phonebook option, you can store many often-used numbers for 1-touch dialing via BT while in motion.

The law which goes into effect July 2008 states that one cannot drive while "holding a cellphone" or something to that effect, the key being that both hands are free to be used for driving. I guess you could touch it, just not bring it up to your face.
