Clearly pretty serious indeed, the news today reported how XM and Sirius were making a renewed effort at merger approval...

Just to dispel the rumors about Sirius going out of business, latest figures show over 6.6 million Sirius subscribers paying (XM counts those with free trial offers as "subscribers"). 6,600,000 multiplied by 12.95 = approx $85 million/month. Some have longer term discounted subscription packages, the average monthly cost is around $11 - that is a paltry 72.6M per month. Multiply that times the 60 months of Howards contract and you have over 4 billion dollars in income - that makes his $500M plus incentives THE smartest move in radio history, possibly in any entertainment venue.

So what's this got to do with Sirius and the LS460?

Thumbs up Finally!!!

Thanks to the folks (Britian) at Vais Technology, I finally have my Sirius SAT radio back! With the help of Onepointon and Britian, I was able to install the interface myself. Everything works through the OEM head unit as if it came installed from the factory that way. I am now truly a happy camper!!

VAIS provided the interface and the antenna conversion (uses the factory sharkfin, so no additional antenna is necessary). I had to buy a Sirius receiver separately. In the end it was a very simple install...all done in the trunk.
