What Grill is this?

Slightly OT, but I wish in Massachusetts we didn't have to have a front license plate. Years ago there was only the rear plate, and if you still have one its grandfathered in, otherwise you have to have that goofy front plate. Sheeesh!
The front of the car would really look clean w/o it.

This is what the grille looks like up close... Pardon the unkempt look, it rains a lot here...
My original description was not accurate as it implied that bars were butting up to the badge. As you can see, the grille is composed of a molded plastic backing with chrome add-on bars, which I presume may also be plastic based. The Lexus badge is also molded in as well. This leads me to believe that Various built a complete replacement unit with aluminium (?) chromed bars.
Hope that helps!

yeah, that setup is EXACTLY the same as that on the 06+ sc430, which makes it impossible to make that "clean" setup. this is going to be really tough, basically means a complete custom job.
btw, depending on the model and options, it might not be good idea to take off the badge. is the laser cruise control unit or the precollision unit right behind the badge?

My LS does not have the Milli-Wave radar transmitter/receiver, therefore the badge looks as shown. On the cars that do, the badge looks similar to the blue badge on the 600hL that we are mostly familiar with, only the clear spaces that are not shielded by the "L" are a "smoked" clear plexiglass, which allows the radar unit to see/transmit its signals. From a distance it looks like black lacquered plastic. The previous 430, as you know had the radar's "flat rectangular window" set in the lower part of the bumper, which looked like an afterthought imho, and in a sense one could say that it was...
So there are in fact two different badge styles.
