LS 600h L Delivery Visibility?

The dealer networks are at fault here, maybe not the individual dealers, but the network as a whole. Lexus surveys their wants and needs and comes up with a supply strategy that is weighed against demand projections and manufacturing capacities. Nothing is done in the dark when you're taking these kinds of investments. Canada probably took the fastest route to delivery in this case as its quota was significantly less than the US.

I don't think Canada is really getting earlier delivery than the U.S., I think it's because of the Neiman Marcus Launch Edition in the U.S. ?
They call them that for a reason, to launch the car, so they have to ship all the 100 units of the Launch Edition first before the regular 600hL's, thus those who didn't order the Launch Edition have to wait a little longer, does that make sense ?

In this case, considering that the American quota is 2,000(?) units, and that these are probably all spoken for, then maybe they want to generate some fanfare preparing for the 2008 season...
Hey, maybe we can petition Lexus to create a Zellers Launch Edition, eh?
