Suspension Issue
My new LS is in the shop right now getting the wind noise issue addressed, and I've also raised some concerns about a "soft" or "loose" suspension, as well as the drivers seat bottoming out over certain bumps and gulleys. I've heard and felt several bangs or thumps going over modest potholes or sharp bumps.
According to the senior tech at my dealership, this is not the first time he's heard this complaint.
Weather should be better tomorrow, so he will take it for a long test drive after finishing the wind noise fix.

Hmm, well hopefully it's not anything too serious, with regards to the suspension and noises. The driver's seat padding has been looked at in one or two other LS 460s whose owners post in these forums, mostly for cushion adjustment IIRC.
Good luck on the wind noise fix and hopefully the other issues can be ironed out or adapted somehow so that you can get the fullest out of your car.

IIRC = If I Recall Correctly.
Not sure if this will address 'driver seat bottoming out' but here is a thread where some LS 460 owners discussed the cushioning on the driver's seat:

In general, what do you recall the suspension fix involved?

Hello, I checked on the suspension issues and the only thing i found was when turning at low speeds you can hear a clunk. the tsb replaces the front struts. I left the number at work so I will try to remember it tomorrow.
I would suggest the tech to look at the metal shield around the oil pan <the bolts back out while driving> and have him look at cutting the assembly pins in the seat track. this noise makes a pop or thump when driving.
hope this helps for now
