Default 2008 - Opaline Pearl?

Just read the July 27 news release outlining price and model changes for 2008. The only change to the LS is the addition of Opaline Pearl to the color pallette.

I searched the threads and noted the color was shown in earlier brochures, and now it seems the color will be a reality.

I can see the sample in the scanned brochure, but can anyone describe the true hue better?

Thanks!

No one will know the answer to this until the 2008 models hit the showroom floors in late August, early September.

You can always check www.lexus.jp for some future info; perhaps photos to be released earlier than in the U.S...

I think the Opaline Pearl is available in Japan already since last year, I saw this (CLICK HERE) last year, & I think the paint code is probably 1G5.

Here is a pic from that link...

Looks like Glacier Frost Mica, but with a purply pink hue instead of a purply blue...

I wonder if it will have the color-changing quality the the ES' Moon Shell Mica has...very unique color.

And what about the dark-purple hue shown here?

That's the Black Opal paint exclusive to the 600hL, that would definitely be my pick if I were going for the hybrid version

Lexus paints of recent have been irridecscent. I.E. GFM, Black Sapphire Pearl...I wouldn't doubt it.
