Default Hot Temperature Gauge on LS460

Ever since I leased my LS460 in February, I noticed that the temp gauge runs on the hot side. After the engine warms up, the temp gauge shows one "tick" above the half way mark. According to a service consultant, that is normal for the LS460. I'm more accustomed to temperature gauges reading below the half way mark.
Is this normal for you also???
Thanks.

That is normal. Aluminum block engines allow engineers to tune it to run hotter so the combustion is complete. It's an emissions issue.

As long as it is near the center mark, and consistent, then it is fine
