If you want trunk space, get the Touring package 460L, it's not available with the rear-seat upgrade, so it has an 18 cu.in trunk, plus it has more sporty handling

Yes, I believe the LS460L with rear seat package and that cooler has about 12.6cu. ft, so barely much bigger than the LS600hL's 11.65.

Well if 2000 are coming to the U.S. (isn't that right?) then Canada is probably only getting a couple of hundred, so no surprise they'll be sold out quickly!

Actually, my LS600hL is due at the end of this month and this is not bad news to me.

High speed handling was never an issue to me, but power and quietness were.

The only downside I saw was the braking, but it is what it is, and I'll have to see how it feels to me.

Others have mentioned how the braking and the acceleration both feel strange because of the CVT and the regenerative braking. Strange is not always worse, and these will be be interesting to check out. I trust I'll become accustomed to both.

I'll be taking the car on a 4 week road trip around the USA in October, so I'll have plenty of opportunity to check it out under varying road conditions.

good points helmar, strange doesn't mean bad. maybe it needs some getting use to and once the driver get use to it it's a good thing, for example better accel, response, etc...

yes, please let us know once you have driven the 600hl more (when you get it) and how the brakes are. maybe compare to the ls460l if you get a chance too

I also thought that the LS460 handled better than the 600hl, but maybe it's because I was going faster in the 600...
