Default arrival of the 2008's

does anyone know when the 08's will likely be on our shores? Also any guesses about what type of favorable lease programs may be available through Lexus credit or from other sources? what do you think the advantages would be by ordering on 08, or purchasing a new 07 now?

Welcome to Club Lexus, markrob!

The 2008s should arrive around late August, early September according to the latest information available thus far.

So far, the 2008 model appears to be largely the same as the 2007. The second year production might benefit from some quality improvements in the production process, although the later 2007 model builds have exhibited few to no problems based on owner reports here. A new color, Opaline Pearl will be offered for 2008.

Also the 08 has the option of an air susp. I guess its the touring package minus brakes and without the sports tuning.

The LWB LS460L(even the non-Touring version) have the air suspension as an option from day one since last year , are you talking about the SWB version ?

I think this is the air suspension minus the sport tuning from the touring model and without the brakes but not sure Lexus wasnt very descriptive in the press release.

Ah, this press release:

http://pressroom.lexus.com/Releases/...T2007072794732

Launched in the fall of 2006, the all-new LS 460 and LS 460 L have received overwhelming accolades and enjoyed spectacular consumer acceptance. For the 2008 model year, the LS will carry over unchanged with the exception of one new exterior color, Opaline Pearl.

The long wheelbase LS 460 L offers a new Air Suspension package that includes 19-inch five-spoke alloy wheels with 245/45R19 all-season tires, Variable Gear Ratio Steering and Adaptive Variable Air Suspension.

The 2008 LS 460 will have a base MSRP of $61,500, an increase of $500, or 0.8 percent. The base MSRP for the LS 460 L will be $71,500, an increase of $500, or 0.7 percent.

interesting. i just go and check on lexus.com. i don't know about other states, here in cali you can almost only find 3 types of msrp for the ls460l. the 94k exec, the 85k (rear seat upgrade), and the last one ~79k.

the first two for sure it has air suspension. the 79k one, again from the CA zip codes, it's either touring (air suspension) or luxury package with some extras, which don't have air suspension.

i wonder if it's common to see ls460l without air suspension either in CA or in the nation?

regardless if air suspension can be a completely separate option (which people can actually choose) or especially available to the swb i think that's a big plus

Maybe Lexus is saying that the air suspension is now a seperate option not included with just the package. Or maybe its a typo im confused.
