I'm not sure if you guys have this product over there, but try "Afta". It is a product that I have use on my glass when I had the same thing you have described. I'm not sure you will find it at an auto store. Dealers over here use it in there prep dept's. Hey, have you tried taking a small straight razor to the effected area? If none of those things work, then you are going to have to replace the glass....I guess?

Why don't try tinting the windsheild, a light tint of course. That might help eliminate the annoyance of looking at the markings. But only if you guys can get away with doing that over there of course.

Dealer said they are more than welcome to replace the window. I'll live with it buddy.
Thanx.

Here's a guess, could the numbers you see "6156" be Japanese writing? If so, could the writing be sealed on the inside of the glass, in between the Vcool and the windshield?

The number are in english and they are from outside even when i take my car for a wash and sit inside the car waiting for the car to be washed, if i concentrate on that writing i can see the water fill the numbers in. but you gotta really concentrate. :-(

If all else fails try using a razer blade. Once upon a time I was parked next to a metal shop, some of the metal from their grinding landed on my car then is rained and the metal dust turned to rust. Only a razer blade would remove it. Don't worry, its almost impossible to damage the glass using this technique.

1- As i mentioned the writing is engraved.
2- There is big risk in scratching the window and making it get worse.
3- Maybe you meant another kind of blade ( not the one im showing the picture off )

So you can 'feel' it by moving your hand over it? Does that mean there is the 'normal' glass underneath and the number is some sort of residue/marker etc? Would using tape and trying to stick to the number and pull the residue off work?
