Default 08 LS on the lexus website already

Im surprised that the 08s are on the website already. there are some new exterior pictures and such but nothing has changed except for the $500 price increase. probably for the wind noise fix. lol

i also noticed that the air suspension package is the same price as the touring package, but the touring package has the bigger brakes and sportier suspension. Weird isn't it?

air suspension is standard in both setup. the touring has larger brakes, but the other one has rear memory seats and power headrest.

I just went to a dealer website and the 2008 LS460 does not have the laminated glass listed in the specifications. This is unbelievable, the laminated glass is part of the wind noise fix TSB. So, it seems, unless you complain, Lexus is ignoring the wind noise problem.

I hope they are not ignoring the wind noise problem. The past LS 430s had optional laminated glass, and my experience has been normal, no major wind noise problem. Maybe they did something to the seals to ensure less wind noise.

Laminated glass is an option included in the more expensive packages, it's not standard even for the LWB LS460L. The base LS460L does not include them. It is meant to make a difference for the more expensive packages I think.

No excuses if the design of the window seals, etc. causing excessive wind noise at high speed though. That's what needs to be fixed.

read my reply in the other thread. this tsib doesn't mean like a recall. not all swb has the problem, and lexus is doing the fix accordingly. this makes sense

Not sure I buy that. I expect all SWB have it, it just depends how picky the customer is and how good their hearing is.

MPG figures are now:

16/24 for LS460 and LS460L
20/22 for LS600hL

Don't know what they were listed at for '07 though.

And I don't know why an LS owner should care, but many seem to!

Using the Build Your Own feature and my zip of 98201 I'm seeing Air Suspension available on the SWB as an accessory.

Any other areas seeing this?

Thanks;

Pat
