My LS460 was built 07/07 and it has the wind noise issue. I was at the dealer today so I can get some of the TSBs done. They are ordering the parts needed to fix the wind noise, the aux port hissing sound and the transmission software update. I was told it should be all in within a week or so. I had the glove box rattle fixed as well.

My dealer tried to do the TSB but my car 3/07 production has them from the factory. Yours probably will to. No fix in sight. It is a design flaw of the A pillar to be addressed in the 2009 model year. Some people just do not hear it but I am sure it is present on all.

In fact, if I was not afraid of creating a resale orphan (like buying a car today without air conditioning), I'd order an LS without NAV altogether.
With a portable Nav, what do you do for an antenna?
Or, do they have built-in antennas? I’m thinking about
adding one to my E-350 .. to take me to a specific
address, not just the general area or street.

No antenna. They are built in. Works fine. I had a Garmin Nuvi but returned and got a TomTom910. The TomTom has both the current time and the estimated time of arrival right there in your face! I love that. The Garmin required me to go to another screen to get it. Also the TomTom has a much easier, IMHO, way to "reroute". For instance I wanted to AVOID a certain road that I knew was under construction. The TomTom will list, in text format, the route. You can them touch the section of the route you wish to avoid.

I use the TomTom in my 2004 LS430 even though it has Lexus built-in NAV. Just much easier to use and more intuitive.

Wow. Never heard that before. Sort of like on the Space Shuttle where they crazy glue a laptop on top of the built in computer, since it's so archaic.

Thank you VERY much. I’m going to check them out TODAY! I’m sure a LOT
of stores sell these. What stores would likely have the biggest and best
selection? And, best prices. (Altho you have sold on the TomTom910. And
400 seems very cheap.

I know that some sell for about 700. Are there any advantages to getting a
higher priced one? I’m getting one!!!

The higher priced ones have more memory for songs, photos etc. that you'll probably not use. So I would say NOT to spend the extra for that. I got mine online at buydig.com. I think Walmart has them too as does Circuit City. It might make sense to pay a little more at a big box stores so that you can easily return it if you don't like it.
