And it states what I wrote. This is: The LS460 recommended oil according to Lexus is EITHER: 0W-20 - OR - 5W-20. And there is nothing wrong with using synthetic oil , but it is not required.

I am still surprised so many CL members never bother to open their owners manual(s). Remember, a shop foreman does not "speak" for the Toyota Corporation nor their engineering staff. The Owners Manual(s) are provided to tell us what the manufacturer wants, desires, requests.

I am sorry to continue this so long, but since so many people read Club Lexus' threads, and refer back to many of them with subject searches, I feel it is INCUMBENT upon each of us to try, as much as possible, to deal in facts. Particularly, when the answer is a quick lookup in the Owners Manual.

Best Wishes to all .....

I've also seen the TSB as well. That's why the shop foreman at the Lexus dealer said to only use OW20, but I didn't want to argue with Mikey, not worth it...

Hello. I do not know about anyone else, but I would like to see a copy of this TSB. Since 2 of y'all have claimed to see this TSB, I would really hope you could post it here.

I contacted 3 different Lexus' Elite dealerships in 2 states, today, and spoke with the Senior Service Adviser @ each of these 3 dealerships. They said they were unaware of any TSB from Lexus regarding oil viscosity weights for an LS460. Nor were any of these Elite dealership Sr Service Advisers aware of any new Lexus' requirement to use synthetic oil in an LS460.

So, I just thought 1 of the two of y'all might be kind enough to post this TBS y'all have seen and are aware of, so the rest of us can also benefit from sharing the knowledge.

Thank you and Best Wishes, Mikey Lulejian - Lake Oconee, GA

This pdf file is fairly recent (Sept. 2011) and it specifies either 5W20 or 0W20 for our cars. So LS460 does not require synthetic oil. I think a couple of years ago, on this forum, some folks mentioned engine ticking noise being reduced by the use of 0W20 oil in the winter. Some dealers recommended synthetic oil as a remedy for this noise. But the current Lexus specs for 2010-2012 LS does not require synthetic.

Vasy: I certainly appreciate your posting this Oil Change Interval for 2010 thru 2012 model year LS460's. However, both Craig b, a Moderator on this Forum, and tennisstar, have both stated rather emphatically that there is a "TSB" which alters what is stated in the LS460 Owners Manuals, for 2007 on. I am most interested in viewing and passing on a copy of this rather elusive TSB - since neither I, after relatively an exhaustive search of official Lexus documentation could not locate this, nor have any of the three SENIOR Service advisers located @ 3 "Elite" Lexus dealerships. I am simply trying to deal in facts - and not conjecture - as presented by Lexus, the manufacturer of our most favorite auto brand and model.

Again, Vasy, thank you for posting this excellent document. Now if we could get Craig B, or tennisstar, or any other Club Lexus member to post this "oil type and weight" TSB (for the LS460), we can put this subject to rest.

Best Wishes to all, Mikey Lulejian - Lake Oconee, GA
