LS460L, 4,300 miles, 74,000 us dollars??
I got a call today from a lexus dealer here in Dubai, they have a demo car "used only for test drive" 2007 LS460L (5 seater full gulf specs) Sliver extirior with White leather interior. Only done 4,300 miles ( 7,000 km ) for only 74,000 us dollars ( 275,000 aed ). The original price with same specs would normaly cost 82,000 us dollars.
No since i've been car shopping for the past 2 and 1/2 months, this deal sounds realy gr8 to me, but am having thies worries and fears of being disapointed in the future by paying this amount of money for a demo car.
It would be realy helpfull if i listen to ur opinion guys, to set my thoughts straight !!
Thanx
+ 2008 models are not out in UAE untill December !!

Well so far the windnoise issue hasent been fixed yet so its not like driving a 1998 LS. There glovebox doesnt close well. These are the two downsides ive noticed so far. Choice is yours buddy ; but is the car used in demo looks the same as the one in stock in terms of ( material , quality , wheels and rims ) if it was a perfect match to the stock with no differences but only the millages. Then go for it.

The car is up to standards, and since its WHITE leather the only thing ill have to change or they have to change is the carpets. (after 7000 km am amazed how the leather survived )

The dealer doesnt know anything about the windnoise. I say maybe next july the fix will be applicable in UAE. Well for me it aint a big deal coz my FM is always on . But for people that dont listen to Radio thats kinda annoying. If you receive any updates about that windnoise fix keep me updated. :-) Time to go to bed and stetch out.

I believe you are most anxious to get it .. and, “kinda hoping” that we’ll
all give our blessing to it being a good deal. But, their offer is no huge
bargain.
First of all it’s a used car. (Dealers love to call them “demonstrators.”
But, used is used.) Buying a used 460 today, when ALL the problems
may not resolved, could prove VERY costly and frustrating. And, quickly
take the joy out of the new car experience.
Second, with the problems you’ve been reading about here, you certainly
would want to get a brand new “fresh” 08. This is an easy decision.

I with u 100%, but when i went to a 2nd hand market and searched for the car i didn't find any and they call it "the dollar car" which means it never stays. The price i got from the dealer is way better if i bought it from a 2nd private seler or a showroom, it would cost much more +3k. Thats y i went for this 1.
+ i got a deal with them, if i didnt like the car or anything about it i can get my money back, and i need a car now. Thats y i thought i'd go for it !!
2008 r not out here untill Dec.

Congrats on the new car! It looks marvelous!
So your dilemma was whether to buy the car or buy one of those island "countries" out there in the ocean!
