Default K40 Calibre Radar

Does anyone know if the new (relatively) K40 Calibre bluetooth in-dash radar/lasar detector system interferes with the LS 460 or 600hl bluetooth systems? My installer claims the bluetooth throws the system out of whack on the Audi and other "high end" cars - but I thought that bluetooth operates on different frequencies (or whatever - I am not too technically gifted) precisely to avoid this problem.

If not a K40, what other in-dash or hidden systems work well?

Thanks in advance.

The Valentine One is the best radar detector you can buy. Every time one of the car mags test them, it always is significantly better than all the rest.

I've had the same unit for about 14 years (I think I got in '93 if not earlier). Its taken a lot of use and abuse and it still works great. They make an accessory so you can conceal it.

Thank you. I have read the same thing and am impressed, but I want a system that is truly imbedded. My impression is that the V1 still has to sit on the dash, thus susceptible to theft, etc.

I had a ried K40 on my LS 430 and loved it. I am most concerned about the bluetooth - so it is between the Calibre or the Escort Z1.
