Rumour has it that there is supposed to be a Lexus "super sedan" coming in the future. The ultimate in luxury of course would be a V12 hybrid system.
I doubt that we will see an LS-F anytime soon. Yes, the development costs for the V10 engine are very high, but that does not mean the engine has to be shared across several models.
The LF-A is going to be all about exclusivity, and my guess is that Toyota would be willing to take a hit in development costs in return for some exclusivity with the V10 engine.

It just seems internally Lexus is truly trying to appease all people.
-Base cars, which are what Lexus is about
-"h" cars, which are the hybrids. My bet is they move more to fuel economy and less the performance benefits b/c of
-"F" cars. If Lexus has this performance division, they can scale back the performance on the hybrids.
The funny thing is, as I think about a LS-F, I realize how its really about status b/c where can one truly enjoy a beast of this magnitude in America?

Head of Bugatti was on TV this morning showing the Veryon to a reporter. Reporter couldn't even get it started but they talked about how it does 0-60 in under 3 seconds, 0-60-0 in under 5 (!!!!) and has a top speed around 250. Absolutely incredible. Talk about exclusive, only 300 being made and it's $1.6M.
The LS600hL is a great car although maybe the Veryon has more trunk space. Well a Civic does anyway.
If Lexus wants to do an LS-F, they have to go way outside their current mode of operation, including having dealer sales people who actually know something about cars and allowing MUCH greater flexibility in the ordering process.
