Default Road marking paint on car

I have always been careful driving over freshly painted lines on the road.
Somehow I have got paint splashes on the passenger door, the rocker panel area and in the wheel well.
What is the best way to clean this mess? I feel that the wheel well area will be extra difficult as this area is not smooth and has the most paint spray. Please help.

I have used gasoline to clean stripping paint off of the body with good results. It will not hurt the clear coat and is low cost.

I actually would not recommend either of those above methods as a first try. Reason: Gasoline is pretty strong stuff. And razor blade = scratch.

I would try rubbing alcohol actually, its a little more mild. But if that doesn't work then maybe move up towards some stronger stuff.

Go to your nearest Harley Davidson dealer and buy the HD Scratch & Swirl Remover. If its not convenient to get to a HD dealer, buy the Mother's brand at an auto parts store.

That stuff can really be hard to get off. I've had my best results with 3-M General Purpose Adhesive Remover or Dupont Road Tar Remover (hard to find anymore). I think the key is not to use any kind of rubbing compound until you get most of the paint off. At some point a clay bar would become effective but be sure to discard the clay bar after this use. And you will have to rewax of course.
