Thanks! I emailed Mark @ Prestigious and setup an appointment in LA this Saturday to get the override installed. Looking forward the ride to San Diego on Saturday.

Am I blind...where is the post that describes how to press and hold the override button while starting the car, so it doesn't time out? Or what is the exact procedure?

Thanks

the button you can put it anywhere. the wire is pretty long (long enough to let you put it in a lot of places that you or passenger can reach)

Its easy. set your key to the first click, hold the nav button and simultaneously set the key to the second click (ignition mode). The Nav button will light for a couple of seconds to confirm that the mode was changed from Auto to Manual, vise versa.

Great stuff. What a big thread 24 pages. Can someone brief me.

1-Who do i contact for the nav overide ?
2-Can i install it at home ? Is there a procedure to follow in the installation process ?
3-Does it allow infinite time control or is it ( 5 minutes of freedom only ? ).

Thanx in advance.

you can contact prestigious at chung@prestigioussociety.com most of us got our kits from them

i believe they do give out instructions together with units, but your car is a bit different. you can ask them. i think a lot of us here did the install ourselves, it's not bad, just takes a bit time. and there are modes so it can be like on/off switch so you can unlimited time of override

Thanx henry.

My car is different because of the gulf specifications i think. I'll take the risk and order the part to see. If youve got some pictures of the installation process please share them. Im not sure how to do this alone.

I was looking for pics of the install myself and the location of the button,The module comes with 16 pages of installation instructions with
color pictures to guide step by step, panel by panel for the
installation. If you are patience and can handle a screw driver or a 10mm
socket, then you should be fine,The button they say it comes with is a long enough cable to reach anywhere near the driver or passenger.Check out the 8th pic down of this post,it looks like an ideal place for the tv/nav button,I myself will be doing this soon,I had to let the newness where off before tearing it apart, hopefully I can put it back together as good as the Japanese . https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=362107
