Given these facts below..
I know I don't have an LS (7.0) ... But I do have 7.1 disc in my 2008 IS.. and the 2007 GS members are only running 6.1 disc
So I can't find a reason why you would have an issue if you had your 7.0 upgraded to 7.1.. There is probably almost no difference between the two.
Can the LS 7.0 Hardware owners even uprgrade to the 7.1 version?
To my knowledge there is no disc in the LS nav system.

Well they can't state if they haven't tested one yet in my opinion

I got an email from Prestigious - they're expecting a local 460 to come in for the upgrade, and the owner already has 7.1 installed - they will report back sometime around the 1st if everything works as expected.

I'm sure it will work just fine, since the overide just works with the GPS & speed sensor wiring...
It has nothing to do with the software versions...

ROM, You my Friend are THE MAN... 
My DVD module came in Last night Installed so Seamless it was Ridiculous took me 1 hour and Voila like magic it clicked over, and the Telephone, address and Nav kicked in Too I love you man.
