My dealer is asking for a little over $500 so I've decided to not do it. He can't tell me what else I'm getting for my $500 except for eliminating the 'I Agree' button....ugh.
I can't recall but they wanted $300 for the update even though I just bought the car a month ago. Granted I did go to a different dealer however even the dealer I bought from said the 2007 model is not guaranteed an upgrade.
It is not such a pain to press that button but it is dumb to have that on there. Toyota/Lexus is too afraid of lawyers over customer satisfaction in this case.
I just called my dealership in Lawrenceville NJ about getting my 07 LS460L nav updated. He didn't know about it. I gave him the part number from one of the messages in this thread and he found it immediately. He said the cost is $295 and it will take about a week to get.
Isn't this covered by the warranty?????
If you've had it done, did you pay for it???
He is finding out what equipment he needs to order to install it.
no it's not covered by warranty. sometimes dealership do it for free under good will if you have good relationship with them, but it's not a warranty item
All you have to do is call Coprorate and complain that you just spent $xxx on a new LS and you don't feel it is apporpriate to pay for a NAV upgrade. I did this and magically the upgrade was free. 1-800-25-Lexus.
