Yes, but what you also have to consider is I used 7,000 of the 20,000 difference (you may have midunderstood that the silver was traded in @ 3,000 when that was the miles on it when I purchased it as it had been returned for the purchase of a lwb. I then put on another 7,000 miles on it before I traded it in). In addition, I gained a $5,000 benefit and the dealer took a loss on this one for me since I bought 2 other cars from them. In the end I came up a little short, yes, but not a whole lot. I also got what I want and now can be happy with the car I have rather than getting into it with regrets each time. There's something to say for that as well.
Yeah, trading in for an LS with ~25,000 miles is absolutely a non-issue. This is really where you can cash in "Lexus reliability" in exchange for peace of mind; you know the car is going to last a long time with minimal problems.
dave, i do have one question. between the two ls460, how do you think about the wind noise?
Ah, great question. Especially since I have had since February with my first swb, and am able to easily compare the wind noise with the new black swb. They both had it the same. I'm going to schedule the black one for the wind noise fix as well now.
I will also tell you that I had a loaner for 2 days...a 2008 ES and it had the same wind noise so I'm surprised we're not hearing more about that as well.
Asked dealer about lowering car. They said; BYE BYE waranty.
only void warranty if they can prove that the aftermarket part contribute to the warranty issue.... there is a clear law protecting that. if you lower your car and your shock blows, up, they will void. if you lower your car and your engine blow, they pay the bills. very clear... don't just listen to dealership, they usually don't know as much as some of us do
