Good News - "New Car"
I had worked out a deal with the dealer yesterday to change colors and get the upgraded package on a different short wheel based that was turned in at 23,000 miles. The "new" car to me is black on black and I couldn't be happier. Also got the AutoCouture Lative 20" wheels (changed them out for the one's I had from Forge-Tec) the car needs lowering but I have the short wheel base which prevents this. Off to put on the clear bra over the entire hood with Aerotech like I did with my silver car to cover the entire front hood, bumper and light kit as well this Wed.
I'll have to read through the threads to get tips on caring for black...had it before long ago on another car and just remember one word: Hassle. It looks so good when it's clean so I guess everything has a trade-off.

black on black is perfect! I wanted the same color combo but ended up getting smoky granite since it was the only one the dealer had with the options I wanted. black is so hard to keep clean but imo nothing looks better when it is

Good luck with the new car, I think Black is one of the nicest colors, But yes a ***** to keep clean. I think the LS 460 looks great the way it is, lowering it is nice but I like the ride and won't do anything to change that. But wheels are a must..

Did you get this deal through Longo Lexus? I thought you posted about this about a week ago. However, I can't find the original post anymore. What was wrong with your silver ls?

There was nothing wrong with my silver...except it didn't have the package that I wanted. I had a cruddy salesperson and because I didn't even know about Club Lexus, I was not informed about all the features the premium stereo had to offer. The silver LS had just been traded in to Longo with 3,000 miles. The salesperson seemed motivated to rid it and based on some misinformation I was provided, the dealer has been on a lookout for another swb with the package I wanted. I never thought it would happen because no one was turning in these cars. They were too new. It had to be turned in to Longo Lexus, have low mileage, had to be a short wheel base and had to have the right package...after months of waiting, I had given up. Then one dropped in.
I've attached a few pics for you here...

Great pics!!! Glad it worked out for you! I assume they gave you a deal you found favorable, and this time were more forthcoming and accurate about the history of your vehicle.
Now you can enjoy the enhanced features of your LS 460 sound system!

Thanks...now if could just lower the damn thing! In person height of the car doesn't look as bad as it does in the pics..not sure why pics seem to always bring out the worst but nevertheless, I hope to find a way to get it lowered. I'm going to get the clear bra on the entire hood, fenders, lights on Wednesday. Also planning on installing the override for the nav and tinting the windows. Then, I'll be set!
