Audio amplifier just died completely making big discomfort!!!

While driving normaly, listening to music, just from nowhere that "superb" mark levinson audio just "stalked" on sound similar when your cd is scratched and player skips it. And there was nothing, I mean NOTHING to make it stop. It was like "cik cik cik cik..." and quite loudly. Volume control did nothing, and what was more anoying that even if u turn off audio system it still keeps "ciking"..Any time car is turned on, it makes sound and u can do nothing to stop it.

Luckily, it was not so dramaticaly far from dealer (~60 miles) so I took it straight to them. They took it at the same moment and analized and finded out that it was amplifier that is located in trunk. I was hot as hell and they even couldn't take it out for a moment...

Now waiting for new amplifier...really disapointed in this problem..it is not like a cheap car that such thing could happen...

anyway, happy with lexus in all other ways.. just wanted u to know what is the problem, if similiar would happen to u.

it is realy kind of scary. If u would have to drive car for several hours it would make your head blow or u could go mad

Ouch, that's definitely annoying. I hope they repair the amplifier soon and you can get back to listening music in your car without the clicking. Tthe system is pretty complex, with many parts--usually working quite well.
