Default is the LWB still in short supply?

That is what a dealer told me, that Lexus isn't making enough LWB as compared to SWB.

All we have is one, which came in today. We have 6-7 SWB. No LWB due until next allocation, and then???

Much shorter supply than regular wheel base. We have 6 on the ground and 5 more coming compared to 75 SWB on the ground and 50 more coming.

Hmmm, I guess I should expect that deals won't be as good on LWB....

Maybe I should hold off until the LWB is in better supply

Get the SWB, or if you absolutely must have the LWB, spring for the extra bucks.

Life is too short to put important things off!

yes, it's definitely on shortage still. look at socal, the most lexus of all states. i saw a WHOLE row of swb (over 40 cars) and not one lwb. lwb, either they were spoken for already or they are sold in a day or two

not sure if waiting will do you anything unless lexus up the production % of lwb. they are not making a lot of lwb to begin with, not to mention you are fighting with 600hl cars now as well

i don't know about CT, but that doesn't mean you won't get good deals. i won't disclose my price for our ls460l, but i am pretty sure our deal was pretty darn good seeing what the deals are on swb. you just need to work with your sales

Thanks. What sort of deal were you able to swing for the lwb?

I'm really surprised that Lexus hasn't adjusted production by now, increasing the mix of lwb vs swb.

indeed, i think it's very clear that lexus can make more lwb and people will still just buy like that

Another bad decision on their part, imho, like the decision not to offer awd on the ls460.

being conservative is the problem for toyota/lexus sometimes i think, like in this case.

when the car came out and lexus talked about the % of swb vs lwb (something like 15% lwb), most of us already said that's not enough, although swb are cheaper, a lot of people would want to pay extra for the lwb. well, guess we have been proven right.

Is the Executive Package special order only like they initially stated ? It sure isn't up here from day one.

They're using the long wheel base for the LS 600H. That might be part of the shortage...
