New 08 LS460, questions re: MudGuards, Tires
Hi,
New owner here taking possession of a 08 LS460 (sapphire, cashmere, ML/Nav/Cplus) later this week.
2 Qs:
- I've always purchased mudguards as an option on all my other cars; it was not an option in order to keep the wheelwells clean and corrosion-free. Is it not necessary anymore (re. how's the LS's wheelwell, was not offered)?
- Is there a choice of tires? Our old es300 came with Bridgestones, we replaced them w Michelans which were substantially smoother and quieter. Heard that Ms were not supplied on LS460.
Otherwise, it was a pretty pleasant experience. Got a great deal at Lexus Carlsbad (plus 5.6% interest AND was able to submit Taste of Lexus $750 credit)!

Welcome to ClubLexus!
Congratulations on your new LS 460!
Here is a recent thread regarding the installation of mudguards on the LS 460:
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=319245
Also, regarding the tires, here is a discussion about them:

According to a number of threads Michelin is recommended for improved ride quality, but acquiring them may be an issue.

congrats on your car. there is a mudguards but it's only available in canada. nonetheless you can get them here in the US through vendors on CL, encore has posted the info
regarding tires, out of factory, i have seen dunlop and bridgestone on the ls460. i don't know if they have michelin for the ls460 though. either way, you don't have a choice, unless you can negotiate with your dealership
