Default 24s On my LS460

Please dont think im crazy but I was at the SEMA show here in Las Vegas and I saw 24s on a LS460.. It looked absolutely unbelievable..Im not huge on making my car look ghetto, especially on a 80k car but it looked perfect.. I talked to my local dealership here and they have seen 2 others with 24s... one with no problems at all and one with nothing but problems, (Extreme Rubbing on inner wheel lining on both sides)..I ordered a set of Asantis and put them on my car.....During regular driving there was no rubbing, no vibration, and no shimmy at all...however when I applied the brakes the wheels began to rub, on the sides of the inside fenders upfront....

When I talked to Lexus they said they know it has been done without hurting the car but they dont know how...Im thinking maybe you have to possibly take out the inside rubber lining and/or redo it...I dont know

Does anyone have any ideas or know of anyway to do it professionally???

Roger

Imo 22 inch wheels are perfect on the LS period. I personally will not put 24" wheels on a LS, but it is your car so do what makes you happy.

Go with what you like yourself, but I personally think even 22's look too big on even the LWB LS460L with certain rim designs.

Geez, on 22s, the rear is already on 25 series
Can't imagine 24s!!! It's going to be all rims and no rubber at all

Well hopefully where ever you're at, the road conditions need to flat like a runway.

The problem putting 24's on is that your speed will be off. Other then that you might get some rubbing mostly in the back but nothing to serious if you have the correct offset. I have 22's with the car lowered 2 to 2.5 inches which would be similiar to the 24's and I get occational rubbing. Your wheel would only be 1 inch more on each side depending on the series tire you go with.

I think you should quit not, sell or trade them in for some 22's.
Just my opinion, do what you want.

I actually took some pics of that car, it was white with full faced wheels on it. I would call it "interesting" lol

I'll see if I can find my camera cord to download it.

Edit, I just checked and I deleted it
