Hey Raj, thanks for sharing. Is that price for wheels alone? for CL members we have pricing thats a little better than that. We are not always the cheapest but if our pricing is a little better than it helps for CL'ers.

This is like your second set of wheels in a few months!

Thanks.
The hub of the rotors were painted. This usually rusts after a year and look ugly. I used a ceramic base coat for the heat and then gloss black. The hub is quite noticeable specially with wheels like mine.

Decals from ebay.

That was with tax for wheels alone, chrome lugs, wheel locks, install and they took the Vossen wheels as well.

painting the caliper is easy. just mask other parts off (rotor surface, pistons, etc... use a lot of brake de-greaser to clean the calipers, and then spray high temp engine enamel of your choice. if you want glossy finish, spray clear coat after the base coat has dried

did that on my gs400 5 years ago. it's still like new

Right. I purchased a new set of calipers and rotors and had them painted. I wanted it to look professional. I had them treat it with a ceramic base coat, then applied the paint. Put the decals on, then clear coated them.

Al, I have the original calipers, if you want to do the same on your car. I will give you my calipers, when yours comes off, just pass it along to someone else.

Absolutely. I did this on several of my cars. It did not look bad, lasted a long time (until I went with the BBK) but did not look as good as a professional job.

This is what I really wanted to do, but was too expensive:

no problem at all, coming from gs400 (the old days), budget was always in mind

Pay it forward-You're OK in my book
No, that was nice of you to offer that

I'm glad you didn't paint it blinding red

I think it's ok to not like everything, just criticize with constructive criticism as to why you don't like a particular mod
