How to change the driver side front "seat back"?
this the part to which the "map holders" are attached. it's the rear most part of the front seats.
i'm mechanically inclined; last "project" i did was install a/c install the miata. unfortunately, i don't have a factory service manual for the LS460 (nor do i wish to obtain one... working on this car's just too scary)...
nonetheless, a dry cleaning coat hanger damaged the seat back and it's becoming a major eyesore. carson lexus hooked me up w/ the part but i'm CLUELESS as to how to separate the seat components.
thoughts anyone? (yes i searched...) before i butcher this boat?

No idea at all, but if no one comes up with the key, you have the advantage of having a sacrificial part (the damaged seatback), so you can destroy it to find out how it is attached.
IOW, you don't have to be careful getting it off, since you aren't going to reuse it, so that'll let you "see inside" so you don't butcher the new part. Just don't tear up adjacent parts doing it!
Good luck.

bumpity. i *THINK* i figured it out.
the bottom flap is held onto the seat w/ a "suspender type" bracket that comes right off.
the middle is held on by 2 philips, and the top should come right off if you pull down. will take a pix nxt wknd when i actually "do" this.
btw, the seatback was $175 from Carson Toyota lexus EVEN after the CL discount codes...
